Located at the King Hussein Medical Center in Amman, Jordan, the Queen Alia
Heart Institute has provided surgical and medical care for over two decades for
the royal family, military and citizens of Jordan.
Working with the local architects and the design architects, Frank Zilm &
Associates, Inc. provided programming services in 1999 for a major 74,000 square
foot addition to the building providing expanded outpatient services, critical
care, Pharmacy, Respiratory Therapy, Day Care and Administrative service.
The core of the programming tasks were completed during a one-week planning
charette using space models developed by Frank Zilm & Associates, Inc. for
planning in both metric and imperial units of measure.
Design architect for the project was Heery
International. Local architecture and engineering was provided by
Arabtech-Jardaneh.
