SMDC Health System, encompassing St. Mary’s Hospital, the Duluth Clinic, and Miller-Dwan Hospital engaged Frank Zilm & Associates, Inc. to assist in the develop a plan for facilities at it’s downtown campus.  The site, which has a stunning view of Lake Superior, encompasses 36 acres and over two million square feet of medical and support structures.  The study addressed site circulation and development, utilization of existing facilities, and the site of major new building to support the strategic initiatives of the SDMC system.
